Teddy Jay Martin, 88, of Williamsville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Teddy proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964, attaining the rank of Specialist Fourth Class (SP4). He was honorably discharged and was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal for his faithful and honorable service.
Following his military service, Teddy dedicated many years to Caterpillar before retiring. He believed in hard work, providing for his family, and living a simple life.
Teddy found his greatest joy outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, tending his large garden, or simply enjoying the country, he was happiest surrounded by nature. Though he was a private man, those who knew him best knew the depth of his love for his family. Above all else, he loved his children and was never prouder than when they were by his side.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen(Donald) Cash; his sons, Steve Martin, Ted Martin, and Jed Martin; his grandchildren, Joseph(Michaela) Cash, Hannah(Drake) Dugas, and Madison Cash; and his great-grandchildren, Samson Cash and Colson Cash,(who is expected to arrive soon).
He was preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones.
Teddy’s family will forever cherish the memories of time spent in the woods, on the water, in the garden, and around the table together. His quiet strength, steady presence, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
There will be a graveside service held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Goodnight, Dad. I love you. See you in the morning.
