Terra Linn Downey

Terra Linn Downey, 74, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on August 07, 2025, at her home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Terra was born on December 31, 1950, to Paul and Nonna Rae (Bowden) Absheer in Butler County Missouri. She married Dave Downey on May 10, 2004, he survives.

Terra was a prayer warrior. She enjoyed helping at her church, in any way she could.  Terra had worked for JC Penney, Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home and the United Gospel Rescue Mission.  She was a valuable employee at every location.

Terra is survived by husband; Dave Downey, sons; Keith Isaac (Kelley), Kevin Isaac, grandchildren; Brittney, Oliver, Myra, Kathryn, Cari, Paul and Justin, 13 great grandchildren, cousins; Susan Forrester (Reid), Becky Brent (Keith), and her best friend; Debbie Barker.

Terra was preceded in death by cousin; Rob Knowles and 2 aunts; Betty Absheer and Bonnie Knowles, and uncle; Herb Absheer

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 11am - 12 pm at Heartland Christian Family Church 3025 South Westwood Blvd. Poplar Bluff (turn at Jiffy Auto Sales).

A celebration of life will begin at 12pm Tuesday August 12,2025 at the church.
