Thelma Dovetta (Cozort) McWilliams , 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., went to live with her heavenly father at 11:16 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Ms. McWilliams was born June 7, 1940 in Greenville, Mo. She was a member of the Palace of Praise Church of God. She loved her family above and beyond measure. Her entire life consisted of living for the Lord and loving her family and many friends. She enjoyed spending time with family and going to church and singings. She was a true prayer warrior. She loved talking to God and gave God credit for everything in her life. Survivors include her children, Marilyn Nance (Chuck), Linda Head (Mike), Jo Ann Adams (Rick), Janice Buhler (Harlen) and David McWilliams (Cindy); five grandchildren, Michael Head, Steven Nance, Joey Bruner (Susan), Stephanie Nance (Rex Steward), and Stacy Root (Rodney); six great-grandchildren, Rodney Root Jr., Payton Steward, Makayla Root, Landon Bruner, Ethan Bruner and Brianna Steward; one brother, Wayne Cozort; five sisters, Betty Webb (Bud), Bessie Chatman, Glenda Miller (J.D.), Hazel Scrivner, Wanda Cozort, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Josephine Cozort; one brother, Earl David Cozort and a daughter, Brenda May McWilliams. Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the chapel with Rev. Randy West and Rev. Shelvie Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Poplar Bluff. Earth's loss is heaven's gain. She will be missed by all.
