Thelmon L. Starnes

Thelmon L. Starnes, 82, of Neelyville, Missouri passed away December 12, 2011 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born November11, 1929 in Alabama to the late Oliver Starnes and Ada Huffman Starnes. In 1949, he was married to Martha Lou Laymon in Piggott Ark., she survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters Debbie and Sheila as well as 1 sister Bertha Lou, 2 brothers Thurman Starnes and wife Mary Lou of Malden Mo. and Alfred Starnes and wife Alice of Tennessee and 1 special friend, Gage Barker. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. As a resident of Neelyville, he enjoyed fishing as well as coon hunting and was of the Assembly of God faith. Mr. Starnes will be missed greatly by family and friends. Services will be Thursday December 15, 2011 with a visitation starting at 10:00 am and funeral following at 11:00 am in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville, Mo.. Burial will be in the Coon Island Cemetery with Donnie Fowler officiating.
