Thomas Breece

Thomas Breece, 64, of Poplar Bluff went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Living Word Baptist Church on Township Line Rd in Poplar Bluff. Rev. Donnie Emmons will officiate and burial with full military honors will be at Black River Cemetery on JJ Hwy. Thomas was born June 6, 1946 in La Port, Indiana. He was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He was a carpenter. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan, collected Elvis Presley memorabilia and enjoyed going to vintage car shows. Thomas is survived by three children; Glenn Thomas Breece and Joanne Lyn Breece Garrett, both of Rockford, IL and Jessica Lauren Breece of Poplar Bluff. One brother Louis Breece of Datto, Arkansas; three sisters; Veda Elliott of Oxly, Linda Hillis of Williamsville and Sue Jameson of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren; Brittney, Wayne and Devin Garrett and Jaryd Breece. And by Mike Patterson of Doniphan; whom Thomas thought of as a son. He was preceded in death by his parents; Dennis Paul Breece Sr. and Joan Smires Breece; his step mother Hassie Thorkelson, a sister; Sue Leiber and a brother Dennis Breece Jr.
