Thomas Ralph Schlatweiler Jr., 67, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 26, 1948 in East St. Louis, Ill. He was a member of the Little Brushy Baptist Church at Wappappello, where he loved to sing in the church choir. He worked as a auto mechanic and enjoyed fishing, playing golf and being with his grandchildren.
On June 22, 1968 he married Casandra Prewitt Schlatweiler. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Tonia Schlatweiler, Robert Schlatweiler (Amanda) and Tracy Dobbs (Rick); a sister, Karen Gawedzinski; and brother, William Schlatweiler, as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016, in the chapel, with Pastor Tim Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Three Springs Cemetery.
