Thomas Carter Sr

Thomas Carter Sr. 72 , of Poplar Bluff formerly of Lebanon Mo. departed this life on Tuesday March 20, 2018 at his residence in Poplar Bluff. He was born on May 23, 1945 to the late Buaffard and Hester (Summers) Carter. In 2010 he was united in marriage to Sharon Carter in Lebanon Mo. she survives. He loved bird watching, being with family. Surviving are his children, Michael Carter and wife MaryAnn, Troy Carter and wife Brandi, Thomas Carter Jr. Jimmy Dunkin and wife Kelly, and Jerry Broyles. Adopted daughter; Angie Gilliam. One brother Ed Carter and wife Ann. fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. A very special friend Rick Gilbert and wife Tina, his special pet dogs Jack and Sassy. Preceding him in death are his parents, a son Terry Dunkin, three sisters Dorothy, Delores and Sylvia Carter. Visitation will begin at 2:30 pm on Saturday March 24, 2018 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Jim Levart officating.
