Thurman Baucom

Thurman Deloy Baucom, 71, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Baucom was born February 9, 1942, in Poplar Bluff, to the late George Wesley and Virgie (Tuttle) Baucom. A farmer, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, sale barns and visiting. Survivors include his life-time partner, Nadine Baucom; one son, Cecil Deloy Baucom; one sister, Emma Sue Bridgeman; four brothers, Jimmy Ray Baucom, Chester Emmit Baucom, Alvie Loran Baucom and Arthur Raymond Baucom; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death include two sisters, Mary Estelee Yingling and Margie Lou Baucom. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. in the Qulin Cemetery.
