Tina Sadler Stark

Well known gospel singer and song writer, Tina Sadler Stark, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her home. She was born January 23, 1946, in Qulin, Mo., to the late Clarence Leroy and Della Marie (Sims) Jones. She was a member of the Palace of Praise Church. She loved traveling and singing His praises and had written several gospel songs that many major artists have recorded. She was a recipient of two Dove Awards in 2001 and 2002. On June 5, 1966 she married Billie Mack Sadler. He preceded her in death March 3, 2015. They were married 48 years. On November 14, 2015, she married Rusty Stark. He survives. Also surviving are children, Brian Sadler, Paula Sadler, Sharon Regini, Susan Roche, Sarah Kersy and Samantha Stark; three sisters, Freda Johnson, Geraldine Griffith, and Mildred Hamlett and one brother, Charles Jones; as well as one granddaughter, Christina Whitaker. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Palace of Praise Church, 1400 Herschell Bess Blvd. Poplar Bluff, Mo., followed by the funeral service at 12 noon with Bishop Kent Miller and Rev. Randy West officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc.
