"For several days, the angels stood behind her bed guarding her every breath." On March 14, 2011 our beloved wife and mother, Tudy Lurena Stone began to fade. While at home, surrounded by her family, the angels started hovering over her, lifting her spirit peacefully into the heavenly hands of God.

Mrs. Stone was born January 25, 1938 in Corning, Arkansas. She was a loving daughter to her mother, Ora Ramsey and her father, Elmer Ramsey who preceded her in death. On May 29, 1955 she married her soul mate, Clyde Stone of Poplar Bluff, who survives.

Mrs. Stone was a retired teacher from the Poplar Bluff R-I School District. She touched the lives of countless students throughout the years, with her creative and unique teaching styles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff and she loved her church family. She was an accomplished musician and artist. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Stone has three children, Darrell Stone of Ft. Worth, Tx., Treena Murray and her husband Phil Murray, of Poplar Bluff, and Kimra Beckett and her husband Jim Beckett of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mrs. Stone was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Jessica Wilson (Brandon) Crawford of Auxvasse, Mo, Mark ( Sarah) Wilson of Poplar Bluff, Kamille and Jodi Beckett of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Shawn (Bree) Stone of Houston, Tx., Jason (Sara) Stone of St. Charles, Mo., Chad Stone of Indiana, Zach Stone, of Oregon, Travis Stone, Ryan Murray and Nathan Murray of Poplar Bluff.
