Unath May Hinton

Unath May(Dildine) Papayik Hinton, beloved Mother, 83, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Greenville Nursing and Rehab. Ms. Hinton was born May 29, 1932, near Grandin, MO in the area known as Mill Holler, to the late Chester Arthur Dildine and Violet May(Wheeley) Dildine. Formerly of Saint Louis, she lived most of her life in Grandin, Missouri. Because of her declining heatlth, Unath moved and became part of an extended family at the Greenville Nursing & Rehab Center. In doing so, she left behind a dear friend; Leman. She was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker and had a great love of food, enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorites were donuts and fried pies. In younger years Unath was an accomplished seamstress and did fine sewing and embroidery work. She enjoyed gardening and would can the harvests for wintertime meals. She was an animal lover and had many pets over the years. Unath saw the introduction of many modern inventions over her lifetime. She got great pleasure from watching television, she was an avid "As the World Turns" soap opera fan, and in later years got great enjoyment from watching old westerns. Unath married Joseph Charles Papayik August 12, 1949. He preceded her in death January 26, 1968. They were blessed with 5 children; Susan, Sam, Andrew, Josephine, and Paul. She then married James C. Hinton in January of 1969. He preceded her in death March 7, 2014. To this union one son was born; Ronald. Unath is survived by her special friend; Leman; 5 children; Susan, Sam, Andrew and Josephine, Ronald and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, a son; Paul Valentine Papayik September 23, 1996, whom she grieved deeply the loss of, and a granddaughter; Tesson Nelson and great grandson Uriah Nelson, this past March 2015. A memorial service will be announced later.
