Verla Greer

Verla Osborn Greer,92 passed away on August 15, 2018 in Memphis, TN. She was born on November 23, 1925. Verla had worked as a proof reader for Daily America Republic long before the days of spell check and auto correct. She enjoyed baking (especially pies), sewing clothes for her yard goose and volunteering at church. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff until her health forced her to relocate to Memphis near her daughter.. Verla is survived by her son, Gary Greer (Rose) of Wentzville, MO; daughter; Vicki Less (Stanley) of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by Husband, Conley Greer, Sister, Vera Sheehy, Sister, Thelma Hillis, Sister, Leona Martin and Brother, Sonny Osborn. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, 12:30 pm at the City Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, MO Memorials are suggested to the in lieu of flowers please make memorials to First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff in her name.
