Victoria Mahalia Garman of Poplar Bluff, passed away October 5, 2011 at the age of 78.
Ms. Garman was born October 16, 1932 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to the late Joseph Johnson and Lenora (Jaco) Johnson and was a lifetime resident of Butler County.
On May 24, 1952 she was married to Joseph Edward Garman in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1991.
She was a Charter Member of the Township Line Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include one son Michael Garman and wife Mary of Poplar Bluff, and a daughter, Deborah Holloway and husband Daniel of Waterford, Michigan; sister, Lura Montgomery of Poplar Bluff, who raised her upon the death of their parents, Joseph and Lenora Johnson.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christy Hupman and husband John of Clawson, Michigan and Jeffrey Holloway of San Diego, California;great-grandchildren, J.D. and Braeden Hupman of Clawson, Michigan, and sister-in-law Vivian Garman, Poplar Bluff.
Also preceding her in death four sisters; Myrtle Woods, Lula Burns, Gertrude Wohler, and Evelyn Harris; one brother, Buck Johnson.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2011 at 9 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo., with the Rev. Lloyd Steinshour officiating. Burial in Montgomery Shepard Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
