Viola Morris

Viola Elode Morris, age 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Morris was born April 21, 1928 in Ellsinore, Mo. to the late Henry D. and Bertha (Lunn) Schaefer. She retired from Florsheim Shoe. She enjoyed reading, sewing, canning and family history. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. On December 28, 1951 she married Leroy Morris, in Piggott, Ark. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Sherry Lampe and husband, Charlie of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Anna Manns of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Aaron Lampe and wife, Ray, Chad Lampe and wife Angela; great-grandchildren, Haylee, Ethan, Caleb and McKenna. Also preceding her in death siblings, Zella Scott, Rosina "Sis" Eudaley, Alma Weatherford, James Schaefer, and Roy Schaefer and grandchildren, Charissa and Geoffry Lampe. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday June 24, 2013, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Poplar Bluff with Rev. Ralph Mayes officiating. Burial in City Cemetery.
