Virgilene Underwood

Virgiline Underwood, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff. She was born July 27, 1937 in Swartz Creek Michigan. She was a member of the Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff. She formerly lived in Clare, Michigan. She had worked as a waitress, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Clare and enjoyed playing bingo. She was married to Ray Underwood, who preceded her in death 2001. Surviving are two children; Margie Shipman and husband Danny of Poplar Bluff and Michael Albertson and wife Karen of Michigan; two sisters; Polly Marsh of Swartz Creek, Michigan and Joyce Canter of Mayfield, KY; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lilborne Hughes and Ellen Buckley; one son, David Albertson; three sisters; and two brothers. Services will be at a later date in Clare, Michigan
