Virginia Pierce

Virginia Lena Pierce, 61, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Pierce was born March 10, 1953 in Van Buren, Mo., to Thomas and Eva Lee (Garcia) Jones. She enjoyed reading and attended Cornerstone Tabernacle Church in Poplar Bluff. She served on the Mo. Counsel of the Blind. Survivors include her children, William Jones, Jonathan Jones, Patricia Morey; her father, Thomas Jones; two sisters, Lynn DeMont and Joetta Jones; four brothers, Thomas Jones Jr., Frankie Garcia, Steve Jones, and Keith Jones; four grandchildren, Nathan Jones, Kaitlyn Morey, Shalynn Caldwell and Nikki Jones. She is preceded in death by her mother, Eva Lee Jones and two sons, Kevin Jones and Jason Ray Jones Pierce. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the chapel with Bro. Bryan Parkey officiating. Burial will be in the Black Creek Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
