Rev. Wayne O'Dale Brown

Rev. Wayne O'Dale Brown, age 75, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Rev. Brown was born May 18, 1937 at Rolling Forks, Mississippi. He had previously lived in North Carolina prior to moving to Poplar Bluff three years ago. He was a ordained minister and served in the United States Air Force. He was also a commercial truck driver and loved to play dominos and golf and work on his home. He was a member of the Palace of Praise Church where he served as an Elder and over the hospital ministry. His greatest love was teaching, preaching and sharing the word of God. On October 3, 1995 he married Darlene (Birdsong) Brown, at Sevierville, Tn. She survives of the home. Other survivers include his three sons, George Brown, Mark Brown and Brian Brown; daughter Christie Snow and husband Bill; three grandchildren, Sam Riggins, Hayleigh Snow and Erica Snow. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. A graveside service and interment was held on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Mo. States Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with the Rev. Anthony Williams officiating. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Palace of Praise Church in Poplar Bluff, with Bishop Kent Miller and Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating.
