Wayne Powell

Wayne Powell, 65, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on May 29, 2020 at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Wayne was born on December 9, 1954 to Eld. Cletis Harris and Gelene (Farmer) Powell in Wood River, Illinois.  He married Crickett (Moore) Powell on December 31, 1986, in Naylor, Mo. Wayne retired from Kneibert Clinic after 39 years of service.  He was a member of Bay Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Wayne and Crickett have been foster parents, having adopted three children in 2019. Wayne is survived by father; Elder Cletis Powell, wife; Crickett, daughter; Renee Dawn Weatherby (Rus) son; Cletis Wayne Powell Jr. daughter;  Nicole Gelene McDaniel (Sam), daughter; Maria Dawn Powell, daughter; Auzariah Powell, son; Carlton James Powell, son;  Matthew Powell, brother; Kenneth Douglas Powell (Cheri), brother; Rick Powell(Dianne), brother; Phillip Powell, sister; Daurice Spencer (Leon), 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and a brother; Timothy Powell. Visitation will be held Sunday May 10 am 31, 2020  from 6-8 pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be on Monday June 1, 2020  in the funeral home chapel with Dusty Armstrong officiating assisted by Kevin Eudaily.  Burial will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery. Memorials can be made to  Foster Adopt in Poplar Bluff.
