Wayne L. Woods

Wayne L. Woods, age 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away February 19, 2013 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Woods was born February 7, 1932, in Greenville, Mo., to the late Curtis R. and Clara (Tackett) Woods. He was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff and retired from Luecke Distributing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a member of Midland Church. On June 18, 1949, he was married to Eva (Duckett) Woods, in Piggott, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2004. Mr. Woods is survived by two sons, Phillip Woods of Poplar Bluff and Rodney Woods of Little Rock, Ar.; one brother, Carl Woods of Wappapello, Mo.; grandchildren, Stacey Ambroselli of Austin, Texas, Justin Woods of Louisville, Ky., Callie Wood and Whitney Allstun of Poplar Bluff; great-grandchildren, Braydn Wood, Mia Osgood, Noah Allstun, and Brody Allstun; and special friend, Bea Christian. Also preceding him in death, one sister, Hazel McIver and one brother, Willard Woods. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the chapel with Pastor Paul White officiating. Burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
