William Keith Baker, 71, of Qulin, Mo., passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Baker was born December 28, 1944, in Qulin, to the late Artie and Daisy (Newby) Baker. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967 as a marksman. A former machine operator, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He also served as deacon at Elk General Baptist Church.
On April 20, 1968 he married Beverly (Cooley) Baker in Broseley, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Brian Baker (Tracy), Kelly Rhody (Dewayne), Susan Diaz (Mark), Lisa Kendle and Keith Brandt (Linda); two sisters, Maxine Taylor and Geraldine Watson; 10 grandchildren, Brooke Baker, Whitney, Dallas, and Jackie Rhody, Dakota and Montana Kendle, Aiden Diaz, Lindsey, Ryan and Tori Theole.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Johnny Meese officiating. Mr. Baker will be laid to rest in the Brown Chapel Cemetery, Broseley, Mo., with full military honors.
