William "Bill" Gerld Penrod Jr

William "Bill" Penrod Jr., of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away May 12, 2016 in Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born March 17, 1946 in Neelyville, Missouri to the late William G. Penrod Sr. and Lula Mae Grimes Penrod. On January 6, 1967 at Neelyville, Missouri he was married to Joyce Newcomb. She survives. Also surviving, one daughter, Jamie Penrod Stinson and husband David of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Carolyn Kellens of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Sandra Weiss of Alton, Missouri and Mary Lou Sells and Rick of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one grandchild, Eli Stinson; his Mother-in-law, Mary Newcomb, and sister-in-law Druzilla Penrod of Poplar Bluff. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Gail Penrod, who departed this life on February 19, 1980; one brother Thomas "Tom" Penrod and one brother in law, John Weiss. Bill was a member of the Palace of Praise of Poplar Bluff and had served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and reading his bible. Visitation for Mr. Penrod will be Saturday May 14, 2016 in the Palace of Praise Church in Poplar Bluff starting at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, with Rev. Donnie Fowler officiating and Rev. Randy West assisting.
