William Edgar Smith

William Edgar Smith, age 61, of Williamsville, Mo., passed away January 22, 2013 at his home. Mr. Smith was born June 1, 1951 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to the late Mark Alva Smith and Doris (Dean) Smith. He served in the United States Army and Air Force during the Vietnam War. On October 11, 2003, he married Maggie (Casteel) Smith. She survives. Also surviving include his children, William Heath Smith, Anthony David Smith, Melvin Alonzo Overton Jr., Melissa Jo Overton and Mickey Lee Andrew Overton, 18 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Sharel D. Murphy, Joan D. Taylor and Barbara L. Cary He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Anthony Smith. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home, 844 Cedar Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 in the chapel with the Rev. Jason Pruett officiating. Burial with full Military Honors at the Mo. State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
