Beatrice Barnes Obituary

Beatrice "Sister B" Barnes, 84, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was born August 18, 1926, at Poplar Bluff, and was a member of Lively Stone Church. Her hobbies included knitting and knitting shoes for children,(for which she was featured in the Daily American Republic newspaper and KFVS chanel 12 news), baking, reading, watching movies, sewing and she was very active in church.

Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline Barnes and Gwendolyn Barnes; one sister, Melvina Cleveland; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Barnes, two sisters, Thelma Cleveland and Henrietta Cleveland, and her parents, Loren Cleveland and Margorie (Ferby) Cleveland.

A memorial service will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 415 and 419 W. Harper Street, Poplar Bluff, Mo.
