Ben Hager

Bentley 'Ben' Carl Hager went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ, Friday April 2, 2021.  He was 85 years old.  Ben was born May 23, 1935 to Walter and Vivian Hager, near Harviell, Missouri.  He married Norma Pennington on January 14, 1956.  
Ben was a life long carpenter who retired from Doctors Hospital maintenance department.  He loved playing his guitar, singing gospel music with his wife and spending time with his family and friends.  He loved his Lord and was a former member of Lone Hill Baptist and Trinity Baptist Churches.  
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons John and wife Evelyn, Greg and wife Ellen; one daughter, Lisa Marshall and husband Randy, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard and wife Loretta, Bill Hager and wife Pat; one sister-in-law, Thelma Hager; many nieces, nephews and friends.  
We will all miss his singing, teasing and occasional orneriness.  
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Harold and Jim Hager.  
Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2021 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff from noon to 1 PM with the funeral service to start at 1 PM   Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery.
Face masks are not required by family strongly requests  that face masks be worn.
