Billy Dean Garrett

Billy Dean Garrett, 70, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed on to his heavenly home on October 10, 2023, at St Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Billy was born on July 6, 1953, to Jerry and Ruth (Gilbert) Garrett in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He married Shar Kneir on April 30,1978 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Billy is survived by his wife, Sandra Sharlene Kneir Garrett, his children; Sarena (David) Garrett Hocke, and Ashley Dawn Garrett, one precious grandson, Elan Hocke, brother-in-law, Steve Kneir and sister-in-law, Joy (Kevin) Rafferty. 
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Ruth Garrett.
Billy was a wonderful father and husband.  He had a kind soul that was always willing to help anyone.  He was an amazing guitar player.  He played in many bands over the years.  He loved watching other musicians.  He appreciated all of their talents.  He had worked at Hays Music for many years.  
A graveside funeral will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 2pm at Black River Cemetery with Rev. Brian Sharp officiating.
