Brenda Patterson

Brenda Joyce (Moore) Patterson, 69, was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She was the fourth of six children born to the late Frank Wilson Moore, Sr. and the late Helen Marie (Turner) Moore.

She loved the Lord and severed faithfully in the nursery at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church in Poplar Bluff, MO, under the guidance of Bishop Ron Webb until her health began to decline.

Brenda greatly enjoyed going to the pool, listening to music, watching football and spending time with her grandchildren and great nieces and nephew. Her peaceful spirit drew others to her, and she was loved and adored by many.

She is survived by her daughter Delores (Rod) Flynn; grandchildren – Avery and Bryce Flynn; siblings Delores (Jonathan) Essex, Frank Moore, Jr. and Ernest Moore; beloved niece Francine N. Parker; great nieces Jade Moore and Eshia Ramsey; great nephew Jerrid Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, husband Michael J. Patterson and stepchildren.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger (Sonya) Moore and Ronald (Eun-Ju) Moore.

Visitation will take place at 1pm Aug. 5, 2023, with services at 2pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Burial will follow at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
