Charles "Bud" Moore, 91, of Naylor, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Moore was born June 14, 1922, in Oxly, Mo., to the late William Moore and Carrie Patton Moore. He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Ripley County. He had worked for the University of Missouri as a farm advisor and enjoyed hunting, country music and playing music. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II.
On June 9, 1942, he married Josephine Derganc in Doniphan, Mo. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2006.
Survivors include one daughter, Anna Mary Sebourn (Charles) of Doniphan; two sons, Charles Moore Jr. (Jackie) of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Dennis B. Moore (Dixie) of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Lynn Sebourn, Connie Harms, Dean Sebourn, Denny Moore, Chuck Moore, Brian Moore and Andy Moore; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were sisters, Beulah Kincade, Ada Raper, Lona Portor, Bessie Hawkins and Wilma Woodard; and brothers, Orville Moore, Oliver Moore and Rassie Moore.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville. The funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel with burial following at Naylor Memorial Cemetery in Naylor, Mo.
