Dale Porter Bishop

Dale "Porter" Bishop II, 65, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on August 24, 2022 at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Dale was born on January 9, 1957 to Dale and Freda Joan Bishop (Hale) in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He married Regina Bishop on May 26, 1995.

Dale proudly served in the Army and worked at Wal-Mart in Poplar Bluff for 19 years.  He was an avid reader of westerns along with watching them on TV.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all spending time with his grand kids. Porter, as most people knew him, loved joking around and continued pestering his friends and family even in his weakest moments.  Dale was a loyal member of Eagles 3730 and took pride in being a member of The Blind Club.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

Dale is survived by his spouse, Regina Bishop, Children; Christy Miles (Bryan), Tasha Adams and Josh Bishop. Brothers, Steve Bishop (Patty), Darren Bishop (Freda), and Keith Bishop (Mary Jean). Favorite sister, Karla Booher (Bryan), 6 Grand kids and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Freda Joan, his son John Bishop and one great grandson.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm at Bluff City Eagles Lodge 1400 South Broadway Poplar Bluff MO.  A pot luck dinner will be served but don't feel obligated to bring a dish, everyone is welcome.
