Eddie M. Rose was born May 30, 1929 in Arkansas. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for the Board of Education and was a truck driver for many years. He also liked to cook for his family and others. He was called "Pops" by everybody; he loved life, enjoyed his family and friends.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters: Marlene Brewers, Angelas Rose, both of Cleveland, OH, Regina McCants of Florida, three sons: J. B. Hayes of Sikeston, MO, Vernon Peoples of Cleveland, OH and Anthony Rose of Poplar Bluff, his daughter-in-law: Cetanya Hayes of Poplar Bluff, stepchildren: Debra Davis of Memphis, TN, Patricia Anderson of Indiana, Melvin Anderson of Texas, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and close friends: Dorothy Hunt and Revia Wade.
Eddie was preceded in death by two sons: Sonny Rose and James (Tuttie) Hayes, one daughter: Virginia Clay, step daughter: Ruby Anderson.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11 AM to 12 PM at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 913 Garfield St. Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. The homegoing celebration will begin at 12 PM with Rev. Tommy Robinson officiating. The services will then conclude at the church.
