Eric was born to Gladys Hayes and Willie P. Wynn on August 20, 196 on St. Louis, MO Eric departed this earthly life on May 2, 2022, in Joplin, Mo.
Smokey enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, scratching off lottery tickets. Smokey had a big sense of humor. One of his favorite punch lines was "No question" and "Joker". He was the life of the party. Smokey enjoyed spending time with his grandkids who he thought the world of. Smokey was employed with Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
Eric is survived by his wife, Trena Whitehorn; son, Tybius Townsend, and his furry son, Drako (Drakalo) of Joplin, Mo. two daughters, Trenikia Jones of Springfield, Mo, and Talor (Peaches) Townsend of Sanger, TX; his mother, Gladys Hayes of Poplar Bluff, sister, Carla Hayes of Poplar Bluff, his brother, Paul Williams of Covington, TN, sister-in-law, Mary Townsend, brother-in-law, Belafonte Williams of Springfield, two nieces, Shay Shay Wofford (Niece Neveah) and Kiarra Brown, of Poplar Bluff, Paulette Williams of Covington, TN; two nephews, Cody Marks Jr. (Nephew Kam) and Antonio Whitehorn (great niece Aniyah) of Poplar Bluff, three grandkids, Kerriyon West (Cat Daddy) and Josyah Figures (Biggems) and Tynaya Townsend all of Springfield, MO. special cousin, Lance Whitehorn and great friend, Benardo Hood.
Eric is preceded in death by his father, Willie P. Wynn, his brother, Curtis Whitehorn, and his special mother-in-law Rebecca Williams-Jones.
Visitation will be 12pm-1pm Friday, May 13, 2022, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 844 Cedar St. Poplar Bluff. Homegoing celebration will begin at 1pm Services will then conclude, and burial will take place at a later date at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
