Gary Stage, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Stage was born October 29, 1947 in Yakima, Wash. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles. He worked for the railroad and Hyde's Catfish. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cleaning vehicles.
On September 12, 1965, he married Karen (Winters) Stage in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Michelle Smith and husband, Brian; one brother, Ronald Dean Stage; and one grandchild, Bailey Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville Stage and Mary (Conner) Stage.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with Austin Armes officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery with full military rites.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to the Poplar Bluff American Legion Honor Guard Post 153.
