Jimmie Franklin Barker

Jimmie Franklin Barker, 69, of Newark, AR passed away on May 04, 2024, at Mt. Meadows Nursing Home in Batesville, Arkansas. Jimmie was born on April 7, 1955, to Robert and Alma Adele (Barker) Uhl in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Alma Uhl. Jimmie is survived by his son Jimmie Barker, daughter; Anita Rudd, son; Eric Barker, 12 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren, brothers; Allen Uhl and wife Rhonda, Danny Uhl and wife Rhonda, Randy Uhl and wife Kimberly, and sister; Lisa Matchett and husband Junior. Jimmie was a truck driver and was retired from Briggs & Stratton.  Some of his favorite things to do were spend outdoor time with his family, fishing, boating and hunting with his brothers.  He also enjoyed horses and tinkering in the yard. Visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2024, from 11am-12pm at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home 701 Vine St. Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral services will begin at 12PM in the chapel Burial will take place at Black Creek Cemetery.
