Lawanda Joyce Waggoner, age 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Waggoner was born June 15, 1935, in Poplar Bluff. She attended the Lakeland Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing music, crafts and playing games with friends and family.
On May 26, 1954, she married Charles Arthur Waggoner in Hernando, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2013.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Seats; one sister, Carol Welch; one brother, Jesse G. Hicks; two grandchildren, Redeena Clark and Michael York; and five great-grandchildren, Ashtyn, Ealie, Zachary, Brittany and Jerry.
She was also preceded in death by on daughter, Lawanda Charlene; her parents, Walter Hicks and Nola Wilson-Hicks; two sisters, Wilma Hedrick and Doris Andrews; and one brother, Don Hicks.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Arvin Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Kinsey Cemetery.
