Poplar Bluff

Lillian Morris-Perry passed away January 29,2024, in Poplar Bluff, MO

Lillian was born on October 5, 1943, in Neelyville, MO to the late Albert (Boss) Ellis and Katie Conley Ellis.  She was the youngest of twelve children.  She attended Neelyville School and graduated in 1963.

She worked in the healthcare filed for over fifty years.

Lillian was married to Thomas Morris until his passing.  She was then joined in holy matrimony to Floyd Perry Jr. on May 16, 1999.  Lillian and Floyd loved to travel from coast to coast.  Their international travels landed them in Canada and Montego Bay.  Their favorite vacation destination was Hawaii, which they visited four times.  They also enjoyed eating out and trying new restaurants.  This union lasted for eighteen years until the passing of her beloved Floyd in 2017.

Lillian lived in Chicago, IL/ Gary, IN area for over sixty years.  She decided to move back to the Neelyville/Poplar Bluff, MO area to be close to her one and only remaining sibling, Laura McCain.  Together they shared many Sunday dinners, much conversation and laughter as they revisited many fond memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Katie Ellis; ten siblings, Valera Elllis, Albert Ellis, Jr., Julia Frances Young, Charlie Ellis, Helen Jackson, Lloyd Lewis Ellis, Mary Alice Holton, Johnetta Green, Eddie Marie Mabry, and Oscar Ellis.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  her beloved fur baby, Spike; one sister, Laura McCain; two special nieces, Mary Evelyn Ellis and Kimberly McCain Youngblood.  She also leaves a host of dear-to-her-heart, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10AM to 11AM Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, with the homegoing celebration beginning at 11AM.  Burial will follow in the Conley Family Cemetery in Neelyville, MO.
