Marie Darlin

Marie Darlin, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Mark Twain Caring Center.

Mrs. Darlin was born December 14, 1925 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to the late Clifford and Viola (Johnson) Renick. She was employed at the Butler County Clerk's office for 21 years. She was also a member of the Hilliard Extension Club.

On March 11, 1944, she married Joseph Darlin Jr. in Kokomo, Indiana. He preceded her in death February 27, 1989.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Wanda) Darlin of Longview, Tx, Steve (Paulette) Darlin of Poplar Bluff, DiAnna Darlin and Don Brooks of St. Clair, Mo., and Millie (Mark) Rogers of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, Randy Darlin, Angela (Les) Whitmer, Kevin (Brittney) Darlin, Kim (Russ) Glick, Daniel Koonce; six step-grandchildren, Mark (Christina) Rogers Jr., Robbie Rogers, Kathy (Brian) Morgan, Paula Rodriguez, Travis Howard and Kerry Howard;10 great-grandchildren, Myles White Darlin, Shelbie and Joseph Darlin, Ethan, Ryan, Collin and Kameron Glick, Alexis Koonce, Tristin and Austin Koonce; six step-great-grandchildren, Austin (Kiyanna) Rogers, Hunter (Kayleigh) Rogers, Madison Rogers, Gage Morgan, Rayna and Arthur Rogers; and a very good friend and roommate, at Mark Twain Caring Center, Elsie Huff, along with several other friends and relatives.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy May Sweeney and three brothers, Otis "Dude" Renick, Kelly Bean and Art Bean.

Visitation will held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the chapel, with Rev. Melburn Deaton officiating. Burial will be in the Sparkman Cemetery.
