Robert Taylor

Robert (Robby) Taylor, 54, of Poplar Bluff, MO lost his battle with cancer on May 11, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family.

Robby was born on May 1, 1968, to Robert Clifton Taylor Sr. and Wilma Taylor (Lunsford) in Wilmington, Ohio.  
Robby graduated from Poplar Bluff Senior High School. He worked as a journeyman floor installer for over 20 years. His job took him all over the United States, where he not only worked,
but had endless adventures. Robby's time as lead singer for the local St. Louis band, Red Hot Saloon was one of the best periods in his life. Robby along with his bandmates Doug Thornburgh, Mike Lehnhoff and Tim Jeffries, wrote and performed amazing original music together. He always loved being surrounded by music and spending time outside in nature. The light of Robby's life were his daughters, Riley Ann, and Ava Arlene Taylor. He adored them with all his being and believed they were the best part of him.
In addition to his beautiful daughters, he is survived by his mother Wilma Taylor (Lunsford), his father Robert Clifton Taylor Sr., sister Robin Cox (Brian), nephews Cameron Cox, and niece Cassidy Cox in addition to several cousins, aunts and uncles and many friends. Robby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Ollie Lunsford and Orville and Francis Taylor.
A celebration of life and memorial service will take place in Poplar Bluff in the next few weeks.
