Sarah Louise Bachner

Sarah Louise Bachner, 82, passed away Saturday evening, October 21, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, MO. 
She was born on July 25, 1941, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, the youngest of six children of the late Martin A. and Agnes G (Hogan) Bachner. 
She graduated with her Master of Science and practiced as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She was employed at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff for over 20 years. 
She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, teaching RCIA classes, and mentoring those interested in the Catholic faith. In her spare time, Sarah enjoyed reading, road trips, and spending time with her family and cat. 
She leaves behind her daughter, Elizabeth McCorkle and her two grandchildren, Faith and Blaise McCorkle.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Martin Bachner and four sisters: Jane E Sutcliffe, Agnes Rose and Sophia Bachner, and Loretta Daniel. 
There will be a visitation from 10-11am Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff.  The Mass will begin at 11am and the services will conclude at that time.
