Verna Meador

Verna June Meador, 67, of Poplar Bluff passed away Thursday May 6, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff, she was born April 11, 1954.  Verna knew many people who all enjoyed her company.  She loved spending time outdoors, fishing, cookouts and family gatherings.  Being with those he loved, especially her five grandchildren.  

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.  Easter was her favorite holiday.  

Survivors include her son; Shane Meador and his wife Kasey of Webb City, Mo; two brothers; Terry Bishop, Randy Bishop and his wife Regina of Poplar Bluff, her dear friend; Patti of Poplar Bluff, five half brothers and sisters-Crystal, Michelle, Mary, Shane, and Chris, six grandchildren; Christine, Morgan, Madison, Evan, Mayci, and Ethan, six great-grandchildren; Kazlyn, Tamryn, Connor, Emersyn, Mercy, and Blakely June. 

She was preceded in death by her son Michael Meador, father; Horace Bishop, mother; Margie Maddux, step-father; Marg Maddux, sister; Regina Hager, and half-brother; Anthony Bishop.

Visitation will be Saturday May 8, 2021 from 11 AM - 12 PM at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff with services to follow at noon. Pastor Kevin Goble Sr. officiating.   Burial will follow at Fairdealing Cemetery.
